With a degree in Russian history, Gretchen Haskin served as associate editor and contributing writer for Atlantis Magazine for six years.   

She is the author of two published books: the novel "An Imperial Affair", a fictionalized account of the rescue of the Imperial Family from Ekaterinburg, and "Exercise for Mature Adults."   Her monograph manuscript, "Rescuing the Czar", is a part of the collection at the Hoover Institution Library at Stanford University. 

In the past several years she has also written extensively on Thoroughbred racing for American, British and Russian journals, including Equus and Classic. Her work has also been published in several other magazines which include Art World and Trial Lawyers Journal.
